Jimmy Lehew

James Larry Lehew “Jimmy", of Trinidad, Texas, began his earthly life on August 12, 1946 in Styx to parents Joe Hurley and Margarette Linda (Brewer) Lehew and made his journey home on Sunday July 28, 2019 at the age of 72.

Jimmy was a hardworking, giving, big hearted guy that was always laughing and joking. He was the life of the party but could also be stubborn and set in his ways at times. He enjoyed fishing, football, old gospel music and especially slow country love songs. Jimmy attended high school at South Oak Cliff in Dallas and served our Country in the United States Marine Corps. He was Church of Christ by faith and was baptized at Styx Church of Christ. Jimmy worked in commercial construction most of his life with different companies; TP&L, Chapman Construction, and Fred McCurley Enterprises to name a few. He was an extraordinary man that will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Joe Lehew and Marge Puck, the love of his life for 35 years, Sharon (Davis) Lehew and bonus dad Harvey Puck.

He is survived by; sister Sandra Mooney of Tool, brother Bobby Lehew and wife Beth of Tyler, sister Paula Smith and husband David of Trinidad, brother-in-law Danny Bruce Davis of Kemp, special friends Johnny and Mary Murphy, numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members, and many more friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Jimmy’s Birthday August 12, 2019 at 10:00 am at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home, 1226 S. Elm St. Kemp, Texas 75143. Pastor Joe Tucker of Gateway Assembly of God in Trinidad will be sharing Jimmy’s Life Story.
