Mr. Joe Dennis Gartman

Joe D. Gartman, of Kemp, was born on September 3, 1946 in Dallas County, Texas to parents William and Olive (Clem) Gartman and entered into August 16, 2014 at the age of 67. Joe graduated from Adamson High School in Dallas. He loved fishing and enjoyed watching baseball and western movies. Joe worked over 20 years at Cooper Energy, where he received numerous belt buckles for his outstanding service. He was a Baptist by faith and was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church. Joe served in The United States Navy. He was a very loving and caring man who will be missed by all who knew him. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joyce and brother Willis. He is survived by his niece Suzie McGee and husband Doyle of Corsicana, step-daughters; Brenda Coldiron and husband David of Navarro County, Linda Peavy and husband James of Kemp and Carolyn Huebel and husband Charles of Rice, step-son Randy Curtis and wife Kim of Rice, other loving family members and many more friends.
