Lisa Gayle (Frier) Doss was born November 6, 1965 in Dallas, Texas to Arthur Ray Frier and Larline Joe Frier. Lisa accepted Christ at an early age and was Baptist by faith. She worked for Dallas Power and Light for many years where she met and married the love her of life, Douglas Doss on March 23, 1989. They would reside in Kaufman, Texas for over 28 years until Lisa was called to her Heavenly home on December 23, 2017 at the age of 52.
Lisa had many God given gifts and talents. She LIVED to love and LOVED to give. Selflessly she pushed thru her own pain to care for her family, friends and others. Her husband Doug and son Trey were the center of her life while her grandboys brightened her world. Not surprisingly Lisa respected and cherished her parents. Her sister Christi and brother Kevin were an important part of her life; showering them with love, guidance and words of wisdom. Nephews and nieces filled her heart with much joy and happiness.
Lisa loved to cook (banana pudding, chicken salad and salsa were family favorites). She also enjoyed laughter filled shopping trips with her mom and sister. Lisa was on a never-ending quest for the best cheeseburger and ribs. Lisa’s most endearing quest was to ensure all her loved ones were happy and never went without. Her generosity will never be forgotten.
Lisa will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as a giving, caring and compassionate person; a vital part of their lives. Everyone’s life she touched will remember Lisa’s smile and laughter. Her legacy will live on thru many cherished memories and life long friendships.
Lisa is survived by her husband Douglas Doss, children; Trey Doss and Haley, and Daisy Cromer, 5 grandboys; Halen and Huston Cromer, Lane Doss, Keller Knowles and Wyatt Doss, parents; Arthur Ray and Kay Frier, Larline and Dan McCullough, sister Christi Frier-Smith and Steve, brother Kevin Frier and Jennifer, nephews and niece; Colten, Thomas and Samantha Frier, great-nephew and niece Milo Frier and Adaline McGough, other loving family members and many friends.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, or a Local Food Pantry in Lisa's name.
