Thomas R Grindle

Thomas Ralph Grindle was born on February 25, 1941 in Peoria, Illinois to parents Harrison and Rosemary (Belzerina) Grindle and entered into eternal rest on September 15, 2015 at the age of 74. In his younger years Thomas served our country in the United States Air Force where he earned the rank of Airman 2nd Class. Thomas was a jokester and seemed to never meet a stranger as he would talk to anyone. He was an avid reader and liked to collect NASCAR memorabilia, and guns. He was a truck driver for 45 years with no accidents. Thomas received several awards for safe driving, including a ring and a watch. On August 8th, 1961, Thomas and Patricia were married, in the 54 years since they have had many memorable times together, especially enjoying traveling in their RV. They especially enjoyed Rockport beach in the wintertime, sitting on the beach watching the dolphins and ships.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald Lee Grindle, sisters: Carolyn Grindle, Linda Sue Wilson, Sherry Jean Scholesser and son Richard Lee Grindle.

He is survived by his loving wife Patricia of Tyler, sister, Rosemary Politis of Peoria, Illinois, brother Harrison Grindle and wife Laura of San Antonio, daughter, Wendy Ann Grindle of Corsicana, granddaughter Regan Oliverez and husband Robert of The Colony , great grandchildren: Landon Lee and Kendal Oliverez, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
