Peter M. Perna

His parents were the late Ann Sullivan and Carmen Perna of Niagara Falls, New York. He is survived by his wife, Joyace (nee Gaines) Perna, of Kenmore, New York, his Sister Christine Diggins, of Exeter, New Hampshire, his brother Richard Perna, of Nashville, Tennessee, His sister, Mary Perna of Austin, Texas, and his sister, Susan Ghijsen of San Jose, California.

Peter grew up in Lockport, New York. He was a graduate of DeSales Catholic High School in 1968. He subsequently attended the University of Buffalo and graduated from there in 1972, with a degree in History.

After, his graduation Pete, as he was called by his friends and family, worked at Tops Supermarket in Lewiston, New York, then Prudential Life Insurance Company in Niagara Falls, New York. Subsequently he co-owned and operated a restaurant/bar with his parents, Perna’s Whitehouse, in Niagara Falls, New York.

Pete was an accomplished keyboard player who loved music and performed with several local rock bands over the years. He was an avid lifelong Buffalo Bills fan!

Pete was a generous, affable, mild-mannered individual. He was a joy to know for all of his friends and family. He will be missed.

Relatives and friends may visit DENGLER, ROBERTS, PERNA FUNERAL HOME, 3070 Delaware Ave., Kenmore, NY 14217 on Saturday (March 8, 2025) from 11am-2pm.
