Anna Moranti Parente

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 9am until 10am at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. A funeral mass will be held 10:30am Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Kennesaw. Burial will follow the service at Pine Ridge Memorial Park.

She married Luigi Parente on September 21, 1932 in Abruzzi, Italy. She was a seamstress and a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She loved to sew, cook and attend Church activities.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luigi Parente, in 1998 and her sister, Enrichetta De Santis, in 2011.

Her son, David Parente, and his wife, Carol Parente of Acworth, GA, survive her. She has two grandsons, Steven Parente of Tyrone, GA. and Matthew Parente of Colorado Springs, CO., and her two great-grandchildren, Alice Rose Parente and Gabriel John Parente, both of Colorado Springs, CO.

The family requests In Lieu of Flowers that donations be made in Anna’s honor to the Georgia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association at http://www.alz.org/georgia/in_my_community_donate.asp as a memorial or tribute donation.
