

Born on September 22, 1928 in Asheville, NC, Barbara was A Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother and Friend of many. She will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Barbara loved her family, art, church and mostly ‘’her volunteer work”.
Nonie attended “The School of Art” in Atlanta. She became an acclaimed artist and won awards for her paintings. She also auctioned her paintings to benefit local charities. She has left several pieces of art with her family for future generations to enjoy.
She was an active member of “Elizabeth Baptist Church” Marietta, GA for several years. She attended Services, Sunday School and Bible Study on a regular basis and made several lifelong friends along the way.
Barbara’s volunteer work was a large part of her life. Most of her time was dedicated to the “Marietta Women’s Club”, “Ladies Auxiliary” and “Cobb Community Services”. Barbara, along with her husband “Joe”, were long time members of the “Elks Lodge #1657”. Both Barbara and Joe served as board members for several years. Barbara was also an officer for the “Marietta Elks Aidmore Auxilary” and worked tirelessly and diligently with the community to support her most heartfelt passion to help women, children and families in need. Both Barbara and Joe won many awards for their work with the community.
Barbara was welcomed to heaven with open loving arms from her beloved husband “Joseph Nuzzo”, daughter “Donna Holloway”, Parents “Nina and James Nelson” and many other friends and family members that have preceded her in death.
As much as we are sorrowed with her departure, Barbara left behind two sons, Robert Sutor and Richard Sutor. Several family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 1:00 PM with Reverend Steve Echols officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 11:00AM until the service begins. A private Interment will take place at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park following the funeral service. The Funeral service will be streamed live at https://www.facebook.com/170046609672412.
Our Beautiful “Nonie” will live in our hearts every day and when our time comes, it pleasures us to know that she will embrace each of us at the “Gates of Heaven” with her most welcome loving arms and sky blue eyes like you’ve never seen.
May this most beautiful woman “Rest in Peace”. Until we meet again, our sweet Angel of Love………. We Love You and Thank You “Nonie”.
