Bessie Wilma Stroup, age 87, passed away on April 18, 2020 in Cartersville, Georgia. She was born on November 28, 1932 in Woodstock, Georgia to the late Carl Eli Grier and Georgia Susan Ann Summey. She was a devoted member of Revival Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Georgia.
Bessie is preceded in death by husband, Aubrey Pierce; daughter in law, Debbie Stroup; granddaughter, Hannah Stroup; and several brothers and sisters.
Bessie is survived by her sons – Barry L. Stroup and Garry “peanut” (Lily) Stroup; grandchildren – Trenton, Jared, Taylor, Madison, and Donovan Stroup; great-grandson – William Stroup; Sister – Jean Grier; Brothers – Hubert (Linda) Grier and Eddie (Dianne) Grier ; along with several nieces and nephews, friends, and many souls that she touched.
Private services are being held and the family will arrange a celebration of life at a later date.
