Bobby was preceded in death by his mother Fannie B. Brown; his brother Theodore “Tiny” Upshaw and his sister Johnnie George.
He is survived by his wife Harumi Wynn and 3 daughters - Barbara Wynn Hyle, Lena Frances Wynn and Patricia Mayumi Wynn; His brothers William “Buck” Upshaw, David Upshaw, Bryant “Bruh” Brown, Reginald Brown and Curtis Brown; Along with a host of nieces, nephews, grandkids and one great granddaughter.
Bobby was a long time resident of Jacksonville, Florida where he served and retired with the U.S. Navy and was a Soka Gakkai International member for over 30 years.
He was known to many people as “Cableman, Boats, Downtown Bobby Brown, B.J. and Bobby James.”
The wake will be on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 2:00pm – 8:00pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Services will be held at the SGI-USA Atlanta Buddhist Center on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 3-5pm. The center is located at 421 17th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30363.
