Buelah "Dean" Gunter

Ms. Buelah “Dean” Gunter of Acworth, GA passed away on November 9, 2024, at the age of 88. She was born on September 18, 1936, in Copperhill, TN where she grew up with her family and the love of the Lord.

She graduated from Acworth High School and worked as a clerical assistant in the Wellstar Medical Group for many years. Dean was actively involved in her grandchildren’s lives as well as the rest of her family. She loved to read and travel. But, specifically hated electronics. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Effie Patterson; daughter, Rebecca Diane Garrett; granddaughter, Kally K. Garrett; sisters, Vivian, Annabell, & Jeanette; and brother, James Patterson. She is survived by her granddaughter Karla Garrett (Paul Highbaugh); Great Granddaughters Desiree (Ray) Estevez and Letia (Isaac) Shiver, Great Great Grandchildren Jordan Zayas, Isabella Shiver and Levi Shiver; Daughter-by-Choice, Rhonda Kay McCartney (James); “Brother”, Corbin Knight (Edna); other family members, Margie Holcomb, Karl Garrett, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Georgia Hospice Care as well as Maple Ridge Health Care Center for the care and compassion they showed Dean in her final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Visitation with the family will begin at 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday, November 12, 2024, as well as one hour before service time Wednesday. Interment to follow at Pine Ridge Memorial Park directly after Service time on Wednesday.
