Carol Cochran Payne, age 68, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Tuesday February 20, 2018. Carol was born June 10, 1949 in Atlanta, Georgia. A visitation for Carol will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 11:00 am at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. A chapel service will occur Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 11:30 am. Burial will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Georgia. Carol served her family well as a homemaker and mother who enjoyed her family time. She loved the outdoors and often times she could be found enjoying nature while camping, fishing, or ordinary yard work. Carol was a beautiful person inside & out and was a Christian by faith. Carol is survived by; daughter Erin Jennifer Jones; step-daughter Teresa DeFrehn; step-daughter Lisa Russell; step-daughter Lori Payne; and step-daughter Carrie Creasey; mother Vera and husband Jerry Merrell; sister Carla and husband John Briley, sister Leisa and husband Paul Cash and sister-in-law Millie Cochran; step-mom Gladys Cochran, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by; husband Robert Dale Payne, father Alver Eugene Cochran; brother Michael D. Cochran; step father Roy Potter.
