Carolyn was born March 5, 1935 in Anniston, Alabama. Her parents were Cora Lee Preston and William Kenneth Livingston.
She was a devoted wife to her husband, Charles, for 64 years. Carolyn was a loving mother, wonderful grandmother, great-grandmother and a very dear mother-in-law.
Carolyn was an absolutely great cook. Holiday meals with her family were her joy and pleasure.
She loved shopping with her longtime friends Nancy and Mary. She enjoyed talking on the phone with her good friend Moncell, Jo Ann Neal, and many other good friends. Carolyn looked forward to her lunch dates with Eileen, Ruth Ann and Vickie.
Carolyn loved Sundays attending Lost Mountain Church of God where she was greeted and welcomed so warmly. She received so much kindness from the congregation and loving friends she made there. She loved Pastor Bates and his wife.
Carolyn is survived by son Kenneth Mincey (wife Charlene); granddaughter: Chrissy Whitehill, and three great grandchildren: Luke , Dakota and Alex Whitehill.
Son Charles (Chuck) Mincey, Jr., (wife Linda); grandsons: Landon, Charlie, Branson (wife Madison); and one baby great grand boy on the way (due August 16th) Walter Riley Mincey.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Roland Mincey, her parents, one sister, Peggy Ann Yancey and one brother, David Yancey.
Visitation for Carolyn will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, Kennesaw, Georgia.
Funeral service will be Thursday, July 18, at 2:30 PM, at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens, Acworth GA.
