Charles Melvin Holt, age 90 of Marietta passed on September 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Charles was born in Texas to the late Lee Holt and the late Elsie Holt. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force, was a member of Acworth United Methodist Church and volunteered at Kennestone Hospital. Charles retired from South Western Bell after 43 years of employment.
Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Jennie Lou Calcagno; and granddaughter, Jennifer Holt. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Helen Louise Holt; son, Stanley W. Holt; daughter, Barbara E. Felton; brother, Billy W. Holt; grandchildren, Josh Holt, Luke Holt, Timothy Felton, and Patrick Felton.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 11am until 1pm at the funeral home.
