Christy Ann Smith passed away peacefully on Monday, August 23, 2021, at Cartersville
Medical Center in Cartersville, Georgia. She was a resident of Georgia for 43 years.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her Father, James Dixon Maxwell, Mother,
Erma Delores Maxwell, and Mark A Maxwell .
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Timmy Luke Smith, her daughters Jessica
D. Shaw, Ashley N. Smith, Cara A. Smith, her grandchildren Hailey A. Shaw, Katelyn E.
Shaw and Michael Luke Thomas, her sister Gina Maxwell and brothers James Maxwell
(Cynthia), Ken Maxwell, Donald Maxwell (Cathy).
Christy was born on Eglin Air Force Base in Valparaiso, Florida on February 9, 1964.
She and Tim were married at Bethel Baptist Church in Georgia on May 8, 1981. She
attended school for medical assisting and went on to have a full career in medical
administration. She dedicated her life to her family. She was a beloved wife, mother,
grandmother, sister, daughter and friend to all.
