Claud "Ike" Lee Isaacs

Claud, known to his family and friends as Ike, was born October 15th, 1944 in Mayfield, CA. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corp, 1st Division. After his time in service, he held many jobs, traveled the country, and eventually settled into being “just an ole paper hanger”, hanging wallpaper all over the United States. His life was an adventure - from jumping freight trains, a few crazy antics while stationed in Japan, and cuttin’ a rug in all the dance halls. But his greatest adventure started one random day standing on the back porch of his home when Jesus touched his heart and saved his soul. He dedicated himself to serving the Lord and preaching His word. He went on to become a minister- a prayer warrior, a seed planter and a life changer.

Ike loved to tell his stories and all that knew him heard them more than once. He didn’t shy away from telling the wild truth from his younger days , but always ended with how despite his past- Jesus saved him. He wanted those around him to know you’re never too far gone that you can’t be found by the Hand of God.

Ike was a wonderful husband, adored his wife, Bernice, of 35 years. He was also a man who said he never wanted children, so the Lord saw fit to give him 7. He loved being a father but his grandest and proudest title became “Papa” to 17 grandchildren and 2 great grand children, all who gathered around him in his final days leading up to his journey home to Heaven.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ed Isaacs and Luvina Starr Isaacs. Siblings Mary Lane, William (Bill) Isaacs, and Sylvia Lynn. And his beautiful daughter Lisa Rena Isaacs-Boyett.

A life so wonderfully lived deserves to be wonderfully remembered. We invite all family and friends to join us for the following services to celebrate and honor the life of our beloved husband, father, and papa:

Visitation with Family and Friends will be held on Friday, November 4, from 6:00-9:00pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home located at 2950 Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw Ga 30152

Funeral Services will be held at the same location on Saturday, November 5th at 2:30pm with a graveside service immediately following at Hickory Grove Baptist Cemetery.

Additional viewing time will be available on Saturday from 9:00am -1:00pm prior to funeral services
