Colleen Louise Smith

Mrs. Smith was born to Floyd and Alice Cook on April 22, 1943 in Salem, Oregon.

She was a wife, mother, and grandmother. She retired from United Airlines after 30+ years of service as a reservationist and customer support representative.

Mrs. Smith was a lover of animals and would care for her neighbor's pets while they were away. She enjoyed gardening, nature, and going to the Cartersville Senior Center.

Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, William Felix Smith II, and her parents, Floyd and Alice Cook. She is survived by her son, William Smith III and his wife, Laurie of Dalton; brother, Dr. Robert Cook and his wife Elaine of Portland, Oregon; sister, Dorothy Cook of Santa Barbara, California; grandchildren: Dr. Steven Smith and his wife Heidi of Cincinnati, Ohio, Christopher Smith and his wife Kelsea of Calhoun, Stephanie Quin and her husband Bryan of Honolulu, Hawaii, Kaylee Smith of Dalton, Madison Smith of Dalton, Jordan Smith of Dalton, Samuel Smith of Dalton; great-grandchildren: Lily Quin, Brooke Quin, Grayson Quin, and Maizy Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Pineridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw. Interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Etowah Valley Humane Society in Bartow County at 50 Ladd's Mountain Road Cartersville, Georgia 30120. 770-383-3338.
