Collin Overby, 22, sadly left us on Friday, January 13, 2023. He was a loving son, uncle, cousin and friend. He was born in Cartersville, Georgia and grew up in Euharlee and Acworth, Georgia. He is survived by his parents Tracy Brooks (Shawn) and Joseph Overby (Alyssa); brothers Jesse Blackmon (Emily) and Joseph Overby Jr (Sierra); sisters Madison Brooks and Joanna Overby; grandparents Jean and Booker Overby and Shirley Blackmon; nieces and nephews Grayson, Kinsley, Dalten, and Kendal. He was preceded in death by his grandpa Jerry Blackmon and uncle Jody Overby.
From infancy to adulthood, one of Collin’s greatest joys was making everyone laugh. Collin was a talented baseball player and loved sharing that love of baseball with his father Joseph. He adored his mom, Tracy, with an unyielding love beyond expression and would often just hang out with her to talk, pester, and make her laugh. They shared an unconditional love. He loved his family and friends so much and was loved by so many more. He had this way about him that even after just one encounter, you would remember a hardy laugh you shared. He enjoyed hanging with friends, rafting down the rivers of Georgia, partying, the outdoors, cutting up and laughing, baseball, girls, and music.
To honor Collin’s memory, we are holding a Celebration of Life at 2pm on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Moonlight Stables and Wedding Venue located at 2462 Harmony Grove Church Rd, Dallas, GA 30132. By Invitation/RSVP.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.winkenhoferpineridgefuneralhome.com for the Overby family.
