I remember being a little girl playing with Curtis over at Uncle Gus and Mrs. H's house.  Sitting down by the horse shoe pit watching all of our dads play horse shoes together.  Uncle Gus always made such beautiful pieces of art out of wood.   And such cool bird feeders.  I love all of you guys and pray that you'll all stick together. I will always have a mental picture of Gus doing face painting in Ila's class.  He seemed to get just as much fun out of it as the kids did.  I know he will be missed by many.  It sounds like he created a lot of memories.

To the Horianopoulos Family:  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.  I was very saddened to hear about the passing of "Uncle Gus".  I have so many memories of growing up on Larsen Drive and many of them include your family.  We didn't have a lot of money back then but we sure knew how to have a lot of fun in spite of it!  And Uncle Gus organized most of it!  He will be greatly missed.  He is joining some awesome people who had passed on before him.  God Bless!

I can't think of Gus without smiling! He always brought a good laugh to any gathering.  As next-door neighbors, he and Mary brought the neighborhood to life!...  and some good times and memories to the Griggs' fam.  

I remember the fireworks set off one 4th of July, with one of them shooting straight through the screen of a bedroom window! Helloooo Gus!  I remember the two families playing ball in the front yard, and having ice cream with blackberries picked from the backyards.  I remember a pig roast that started in the wee hours of the morn and ended in the rain.  I remember going to the pound and coming back with a pair of labs - brother and sister.  The Horianopoli had Barney and the Griggs had Barrie.

Gus, you are a wonderful, big-hearted guy.  You are a blessing wherever you go, and you are loved.

So sorry for your loss. I have so many great memories of Uncle Gus and the Horianopoulos family, growing up on Larsen Dr.  We had so much fun on that block and  Uncle Gus was always in the middle of it!  My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family

Gus you taught me so much as I started my work life with TSA. I remember you for the respect and professionalism you commanded. You definitely knew your business and ran a tight ship. The many lessons you taught me I use today in my work life. God's speed sir. You will truly be missed.
