Danette "Dee" Kay LaPrairie

Danette "Dee" Kay LaPrairie, age 74 passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. Dee was born in Charleston, West Virginia. Before retiring, Dee worked for many years with the Cooper Firm as a Paralegal. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of County Line United Methodist. Dee was a sports fan, she rooted for the St. Louis Cardinals & Atlanta Braves, and for a time played softball. Her hobbies included dancing, bowling, crafting, singing and listening to music. Dee's memory will be cherished by all who had the honor of knowing her.

Dee is survived by her husband of 50 years, David LaPrairie; her son James "Matt" LaPrairie (Dallas); her daughters Sheri Lynn Perkerson; and Paula Dee LaPrairie; her grandchildren Brianna, Skylar, Joey, and Everly. Dee was preceded in death by her parents, James and Allison Allee.

A visitation for Dee will be held Monday, August 21, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. Following the visitation will be a chapel service beginning at 2:00 pm. Dee will be laid to rest in Pine Ridge Memorial Park.
