Daniel Curtis Miley

Daniel Curtis Miley was born on August 8, 1947, and went to be with Jesus on July 22, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandy Miley of Acworth, GA, daughter Beth Lively and husband, Bobby Lively of Dallas, GA, daughter Stephanie Wolfe and husband Brian Wolfe of LaFayette, GA, sister, Dorothy “DJ” Miley of Marietta, GA, sister Marty Miley of Marietta, GA and his beloved grandchildren, Jacob Lively and Samantha Lively, both of Dallas, GA.

Born and raised in Bradenton, Florida, Dan was an avid sports fan where he played football, baseball and basketball at Manatee High School. Dan was a life-long sports fan and took his daughters to Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium since they were very young to cheer on our Atlanta Braves. He was in attendance on the historical night that Hank Aaron hit his famous 715th homerun. He went to the University of Florida and was a loyal Gators fan throughout his life.

An avid reader, he loved spy novels. He was also a faithful subscriber to the Bradenton Herald and ready it every day – always interested in staying on top of news in his hometown.

He loved playing golf with his grandson, Jacob, and his sister, DJ – they would go to the course weekly. Dan also loved music – and being a native Floridian, the Beach Boys were his favorite. He loved cashews and doing crossword puzzles. He was a non-complicated man who loved his wife, daughters, his sisters and grandchildren dearly.

He will be greatly missed and his family will always hold dear the precious memories they have of him.

And as he always said, “Later dude”.

The family will hold an informal drop-in visitation on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Winkerhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park located at 2950 Cobb Parkway, N., Kennesaw, GA 30152.
