David Harold Favor

October 6, 1953 - October 29, 2022

David Harold Favor, age 69, passed away peacefully at his home in Powder Springs, Georgia on October 29, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving and caring family. David was born in Montgomery, Alabama to his parents, Joe and Margaret Favor. After graduation from high school he attended the University of Alabama. David proudly spent his career in custom stair product sales and endeared both his customers and co-workers.

David was an avid hunter and gun collector. He enjoyed the outdoors whether it was in the Georgia woods or western mountain ranges. His interests also included the history of WW2 including the battles, commanders, aircraft, and weapons. He collected artifacts and spent many hours in discussions with other WW2 and gun buffs. He was a loyal Alabama fan and loved all things crimson and white. Most of all, David was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a hard working and compassionate soul who put his family and others before himself. He was the best husband and father one could wish for.

David is survived by Marion, his high school sweetheart and wife of 45 years; His children Trista, Trenton (Heather), Vallie, Lindley Grasela (Brian), Kendall and Paige; Grandchildren, Austin and Bradley Favor; Siblings Mickey, Joy Hein (Dave), Linda Liggett (Roy), Debbie Barranco (Bill), and Jo Ann Dodson (Al) and a host of cousins and friends.

A family and friends visitation will be held on Friday November 4, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 Cobb Parkway NW, Kennesaw, Georgia, followed by a celebration of life chapel service at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Vision of Vets, University of Alabama, or a charity of your choosing.
