David Ralph Irons

Lt. Col (Ret) David Ralph Irons age 81 of Kennesaw died Thursday, November 6, 2014. Funeral service will be held 12:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw , Georgia. Interment will be held at Georgia National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.

Born in Linesville, Pennsylvania, Mr. Irons was an insurance adjuster who also served 30 years in the United States Army Reserves, retiring as a Lt. Colonel. He was a veteran of the Korea War. As a young man, he played American Legion Baseball. Later he enjoyed playing golf and bowling, and coaching his sons in little league baseball and basketball. He was a YMCA Indian Guide with his daughter. Most of all, he loved his kids and grandkids.
