Diego Ruiz, age 78, of Mableton, Georgia passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born in Havana, Cuba on May 24, 1944, to the late Diego and Ena Ruiz. Diego enjoyed travelling and lived all over the world. He also enjoyed participating in many trips with the Boy Scouts and his children. Diego was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Diego is survived by his wife of 45 years, Diane Ruiz, his sons; Tony Ruiz and wife Elizabeth, Derek Ruiz, Matthew Ruiz and wife Rebecca, his daughter Janice Morton and husband David, his sister, Rocio Ruiz Gomez Mena, and multiple grandchildren.
Diego is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jo Aizcorbe.
