Donald Paul Denhoff, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. Don was born May 2, 1935, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Esther Chard and Clarence Denhoff. Don married the love of his life, Judith Wood, on September 7, 1957, in Drayton Plains, Michigan.
Those who will cherish his memory are daughter Anne Morgan; daughter Janet Hart; and daughter Margaret Richey (Robert); sister Janet Gerhardt (Bill); grandson Nathan Hart (Melinda), grandson Christopher Morgan, grandson Bradley Richey, granddaughter Elizabeth Richey, and notable member of the family Christina Koch; brothers- and sisters-in-law Bruce and Barb Wood, Jim and Janis Wood, Judy Wood, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Don was preceded in death by his wife Judy Denhoff; father Clarence and mother Esther; infant brother Richard Denhoff and infant sister Bertha Denhoff.
Don graduated from Pontiac High School and Eastern Michigan University. Don was a Plastics Engineer and started his career with Uniloy in Saline, Michigan, and retiring after a 42 year career from Johnson Controls in Atlanta, Georgia. He and his wife Judy lived in Singapore for about 5 years while Don was setting up the Asian division of Johnson Controls. Don loved to travel. He and Judy traveled all over the world. He was a private licensed pilot and loved to fly. Don cherished the love of his life Judy and having family time. Family vacations were always the best.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and members of Kennesaw Place Assisted Living and to Agape Hospice Care.
