You were a friend in a dark time. Your light shines like a pale evening moon. I will see you again. Thank you for helping me find a space to be. Much love, always.

My dearest friend Emily I am at a loss for words. To hear that another angel has gained her wings - I cannot help but feel a mix of emotions. I am happy you are no longer in pain. But I am saddened by the loss of a wonderful and long-time friend. I can only say you lived a remarkable life and you were always a light in hard times.

I met you at a weird time on my life. I was a freshmen. When I met you I thought you were the sweetest soul. You swept me up in a hug so tight that I immediately felt like you were an old friend. The warehouse family became my brothers and my sisters. I honestly wouldn’t be half the person I am today without you. You helped me in so many ways and your friendship and understanding kept me going. I know so many zebras were happy you championed for the community. You are very loved and very missed sweet friend.

I remember seeing Emily when I first started high school and thinking, “Wow, that girl looks so cool!” I had no idea then that she would soon become one of my best friends. From concerts, to going to the mall, to just hanging out anywhere, there was never a dull moment when Emily was around. Emily touched so many lives because of her beautiful, strong soul and will not be forgotten. Love you always, Emily.

I am so heartbroken to see this sad news. I was the mail carrier at your house when she was a little girl. She was absolutely precious and always had the sweetest smile. Emily, you were a bright spot in my day so many years ago. Rest In Peace sweet girl. ❤️

I will always remember our amazing friendship while Emily and I were at Mercer together. Whether it was going to see Frankie Muniz at a trashed concert venue in Kennesaw or having deep life talks, she always brought a light into my life while I was in very dark times. She had the courage to be confident in herself, tell me the hard truths, and to be optimistic in whatever curveball life threw at her. Therefore, I don't know how I could ever measure up to her in any of those things. We all love and miss her dearly.

Emily was so many things; loving, intelligent, witty, beautiful, caring, and adventurous to name a few. Every activity was an opportunity to make a memory whether it was watching game shows or traveling to a new city. She lit up every time she saw an animal of any kind. She made the best grilled cheese sandwiches. Emily was so funny and she kept her sense of humor even through the worst days. For anyone who got to know her, she’s made a mark that will remain.
