Mrs. Evelyn Louise Gilert Abernathy, age 83, of Marietta, GA., passed away Tuesday April 8, 2014. Funeral services will be held Friday April 11, 2014 at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Kennesaw, GA., with Rev. Robert Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow in the New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery Kennesaw, GA. Mrs. Abernathy was a native of Kennesaw, GA., she retired from Lockheed Martin after many years of service and she is preceded in death by her husband Elihue Richard Abernathy.

Son, Richard D. Abernathy, Mableton, GA., Brother, Clyde Harry Gilbert, Kennesaw, GA.
Grandchildren , Richard Lee Abernathy, Darrell David Abernathy ,and April Michelle Chapman, Great Great Grandchildren, Grace, Eli, Boston and Dallas
