

Floyd Davis Hasting, age 83, of Kennesaw, GA, passed away on December 12, 2020. He was born on April 2, 1937 in Fort Payne, AL, to his late parents; Andy Lee and Mable Priest Hasting. Floyd worked for Kroger for many years and was a proud Kroger Union Worker. He was a Christian and a faithful Church of God member serving in many different capacities at church serving God and others. Mr. Hasting loved the Atlanta Braves, and any Roll Tide Athletics. Most importantly, Floyd loved his kids and his family immensely. Mr. Hasting was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Hasting and a sister, Opal Burnett.
Mr. Hasting is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Addie Marie Purdy Hasting of Kennesaw, GA, daughter, Karen and her husband Ken Buchanan of Powder Springs, GA; son; Tim and his wife Kimi Hasting of Dallas, GA; grandchildren; Markus (Lacey) Shirley, Erin (Stephan) Kotowski, Haley (Methus) Weldon, Elizabeth (Dillian) Moore, Emily (Stone) Richardson; great-grandchildren, Lila Rose Shirley, Emmaline Kotowski, Ben Kotowski, Caroline Moore, Ivy Moore; sisters, Nellie Crowley of Fort Payne, AL, Betty (Earl) Cantrell of Powder Springs, GA, Judy Smith of Mentone, AL; several nieces, nephews and special friends also survive him
Funeral Services for Mr. Floyd Hasting will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place at Pine Ridge Memorial Park following the funeral service with the following serving as pallbearers: Methus Weldon, Markus Shirley, Tim Hasting, Ken Buchanan, Erin Kotowski and Haley Weldon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
The Funeral service will be livestreamed on Winkenhofer Pine Ridge’s Facebook Page for those that cannot attend.
The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions (no more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time). If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Winkenhofer Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mr. Hasting safe.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to Karen Buchanan for the future care of Mrs. Hasting.
