Frances Marie Holt

A native of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Mrs. Holt was born on August 28, 1920, the daughter of the late Paul and Polly Stars Efrid. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Acworth. Mrs. Holt moved to Kennesaw from Florence, Alabama. Prior to declining health, Mrs. Holt was very active in the church serving as the church pianist/organist. She loved flowers and gardening and devoted her time to the Girl/Boy Scouts and always put God first. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Shelby Holt in 1988 and by four brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include two sons; Richard and wife, Lynda Holt of Littleville, Al. and Paul and wife Patricia Holt of Houston, Tx. One daughter, Donnie H. Wells and her husband Jerry of Kennesaw. Seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Holt will be conducted on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. the Pine Ridge Chapel of Winkenhofer Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Childester officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
