He was a member of First Baptist Church of Kennesaw and was retired from Lockheed with 24 years of service. He loved to play bridge and was a leader of the North Cobb Senior Center Bridge Club. He also loved to read and to fish.
Mr. Pitts is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patsy Ross Pitts; son, Stephen and Karen Pitts; daughters, Paula and Reggie Clauser, Kim and Dean Wardlaw; five grandchildren, Amanda Clauser, Chip Clauser, Alex Wardlaw, Alicia Pitts and William Pitts.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 30 at 12 noon in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Perry Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 2 until 4 PM SUNDAY at the funeral home.
