Daddy, it's been almost a year since you went to be with the Lord, we miss you terribly it's been a long first year without you.Each of your children and especially mom have missed you so very deeply. I want to say to you thank you dad for being such a wonderful father to each of us, thank you for being such a great husband to mother. As we look back on precious memories there are not regrets just adoration to the wonderful leader, husband and father and grandfather you were to us all! Sylvia, God bless you and your family.  I know He will bless Jackie in Heaven. I have known Jackie since elementary school.  He and I would would play anyone and everyone in the 7th grade class in basketball.  Jackie allways said when we were seniors we were going to beat the great Perry basketball team.  We beat them 24 points to be the first WR team to do this.  Jackie was the best center in the State of GA.  We also played Football and Baseball together.  He was offered a pro contract by the New York Yankees organization.  He will be missed greatly by Dianne and myself and all the many friends in Warner Robins .  I can still hear him singing "This Ole House".

I was so shocked and saddened when Bill called me.  Jack will be missed so much by all who knew and loved him he was like a brother I never had., He was so jolly and fun loving - he would light up the room and make everybody laugh when he came in.  My family has such great memories of the times together when the boys were growing up.Although his job transferred him a lot, we would manage to go see you - West Palm Bch, Cocoa and other places and have a great time.Randy said this week that Jack told him - Randy you are the only one that stayed in the meat business. So sorry to hear about Jack.  I worked with him at PFS in Bedford, Va. and still was able to see him when he visited IFH in Hickory NC.  He was truly a special and unique person to know and work with.  My thoughts are with you and your family.

I worked for Jack  when he was the manager at Monford (Swift) on Fulton Industrial in the 1990's.
Some of his employers were Scott Lewis, Paul Fisher , Gary Vineyard, Sidney Houser (me), Heywood Hunt, Oran Barrentine,  Blair Brannock, Shirley Davis, George Dixon,Janet Olson , Beverly and Wanda.

Scott fixed my son's bicycle  tire. Thanks.

Jack was a good personal man to work for and a friend of all of us.

When I visited Camilla in 2005, I met Big Daddy (and the family) several times during my stay.  He was truly a special man with a huge heart.  I send my heartfelt condolences to Camilla, Sylvia and the family.

Jack was a true friend and mentor. Betsy and I have many fond memories of time spent with Jack and Sylvia. My sincerest condolences to Sylvia and the family.  I knew Jackie throughout our high school days at Warner Robins High School.  We played a lot of baseball together in those 4 years.  Jackie could hit the cover off a baseball.  I had the pleasure of batting in the fifth spot, right behind Jackie and he was a hard act to follow.
