James Joseph Uzee

Officer James Uzee has a long time career in Law Enforcement starting 1992 with the Gretna, Louisiana and in 1994 he transfered to Jefferson Parish Police Dept. with the Motor Squad. After moving to Georgia, he joined the Cobb County Police Department in March of 2000 where he remained a Public servant until his untimely death.

He was a devoted husband, incredible dad and instilled a high family values.

James is survived by his wife, Laurie Ott Uzee; his sons Neil Neyrey (Amy), John Nathan Arguello (Jennifer), Christopher Arguello (Michelle), Jeremy Uzee, Lance Uzee (Savanna); mother-in-law Cynthia Falterman (Eddie); father-in-law Larry Ott; sister Nikki Whitehead (Michael); five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Donna McCarthy Uzee.

He enjoyed building "things", salt water fishing, crabbing, sports, attending his son's sporting events and working the Atlanta Braves Stadium when they were at home.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Rites for James will be held, Friday, August 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 6301 Cedarcrest Rd., Acworth, GA 30101.
