Jane Margaret McBerry Carney, age 86 passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Jane was born in Atlanta, Georgia. A visitation for Jane will be held Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. Following the visitation will be a chapel service at 3:00 pm. Jane will be laid to rest in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 1605 Mars Hill Rd, Acworth, Georgia 30101.
Jane was retired, after 30 years, from the Smyrna Police Department. She served the Smyrna community as a 911 operator and records keeper. Jane was a member of the Eastern Stars and Mount Harmony Baptist Church in Mableton.
Those who will cherish the memory of Jane are her son Michael D. Carney of Mableton; sister Linda and her husband Larry Winkler of Douglasville; sister in laws Sandra McBerry of Dallas, GA, Glynnis and husband Ted Reece of Anthony, FL.,Ginny and husband Ed Simmons of Brunswick, Carolanne and husband Roger Finger of Kennesaw. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
