Coach White:  
During Jennifer’s years on the MUtrack and field team I rarely called Jen by her first name.  It was always “McDevitt” and usually with an aggressive, loud and yelling form.  Asking her to focus!  
One day at the end of a brutally hard practice she asked me if I wanted to win.  I said “Sure” not knowing what was to come.   She said “Coach if you lightened up on the team and let us have fun we will win.” I lightened up a little and the team and the coaches had great laughter, comradery and fun………… OH BOY was she 100% right as I lighten up and she and the team won over, over, and over again with 3 Pennsylvania State Athletic conference track and field championships. Most importantly we had “FUN.”  McDevitt was the ring leader to all of that.  McDevitt was an individual champion many times over but her athletic legacy is the fun she brought to me and her teammates.
After her first year on the team we had our annual individual meetings and I regularly asked girls on the team “Where do you see yourself in 10 years?  She quickly replied “married and with kids and especially a daughter to have fun with” Gabby your MOM had an amazingly great time with you and met her goal.   Even though it was a shorter time than we all wanted for her and you, I am sure it was great fun and it will last you a life time just like it has with her teammates.
During that individual meeting she also told me she hated the 400 meters and asked me to not have her run it……an event she hated.  She also knew that I would never agree to this but she had that smiling caveat that if I needed her, she would do it for the team.      We needed her often and she always came thru to secured those championships. Your team and friends all owe you “ McDevitt” for allowing us to have so much fun with you.  As your Coach forever McDevitt; I know that God and angels in heaven are having more fun today than ever before and I am sure that GOD will not ask you to run the 400!  Jennifer I love you. Coach

I have worked with Jennifer's husband Mark for years.  I am praying for the Larson family during this difficult time.  I know Mark loved Jennifer very deeply.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Larson always pushed me to go out of my comfort zone and go for what I wanted in life. From the first class I took of hers, she became someone I admired in all aspects. Going to her class everyday for three years, I could see how she made school something to enjoy and more than just a place to study Spanish. You never knew what to expect with her, yet she was always herself. I considered her, and always will consider her, a great mother, friendly to all, and a mentor who had a joy for life. Looking back, I admire her faith that I witnessed her display during 2019. She will be missed, but I am praying for comfort in the fact that she is finally resting and at peace with the Father.

I was a student of Mrs. Larson for three of my four years in high school. She was a phenomenal educator and an even better person. She truly invested in her students and always pushed us to do the best we possibly could. She will be missed dearly, but the impact she had on her students will live on forever. Thank you Mrs. Larson and may you Rest In Peace with our Heavenly Father. 

As the former women's athletic director at MU I can remember her success  as an athlete and in the academic  arena.

The Kell World Language family is heartbroken to have lost our colleague and friend. Jen's dry sense of humor, her love for her students, her love for God, and her drive to be the best she could be will never be forgotten. We will always carry her with us in our hearts.  Our condolences to Mark and Gabbi and her family for what they have gone through. We know  that Jen is finally resting at peace in Jesus' arms. 

I worked with Jennifer at NPHS for many years, and she also taught my son First Born. As teachers, we were  usually given a little more influence  over our own kid's  schedules. He was a little worried when he saw Larson on his schedule because he heard that she was a "hard teacher" and foreign  language wasn't his favorite. However, I decided she was exactly the kind of teacher he needed because she cared about her students actually learning the language. He ended up loving her class and learned more from her than his previous  2 Spanish teachers! I know  the words "I'm sorry for your loss" don't really bring you much comfort right now,  but hopefully, knowing how many students she impacted in such a meaningful way will give you some peace. She really did make a huge difference while she was here on this earth!
