JoAnn Gravitt Chastain, age 81, of Acworth, Georgia passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021. JoAnn was born in Acworth, GA on August 20, 1939 to her late parents. JoAnn was a faithful member of Awtrey Baptist Church in Acworth. Some of Mrs. Chastain's hobbies included working in the yard, crossword puzzles and watching HGTV and Food Network.
JoAnn is survived by her husband, Troy Lee Chastain of Acworth, GA; son Kevin Chastain of Acworth, GA; brother Bill Gravitt of Kennesaw, GA; and a host of extended family members and special friends.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her father, Luther Hilton Gravitt and mother, Rosa Lee Green Gravitt; and a brother, Jerry Lee Gravitt.
There will be a private visitation and graveside service at a later date. Burial will take place at Liberty Hill Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully wishes that donation be made to: Awtrey Baptist Church at 5855 Awtrey Church Rd. Acworth, GA 30101.
