John R. Garger

Born in Northampton, Pennsylvania. He was the son of John Garger and Anna (Unger) Garger of Northampton, PA.

He is survived by his loving daughters Denise Grace (Dan) and Annette Fekete (Bert); his five grandchildren: Amber Grace, Jake Fekete (Courtney) , Noah Fekete (Emily), Jessica Pressley and Brittany Blackman;. and three great grandchildren: Austyn, Miranda and Julianne; beloved sister Anna Marakovits (Frank); and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by wife Betty M. Garger and his son John J. Garger.

In his younger years he played the trombone in high school. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, classical music, reading and was a member of the Petersville Rod & Gun Club. He was Chief of Police in Catasauqua, PA before relocating to work, and retire, from Mack Trucks in SC.

He was a Worshipful Master of Greenleaf Lodge #561, Allentown, PA and was presented with his 50 year masonic service emblem from them through the Cartersville #63 Masonic Lodge.

A visitation for John will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152, followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 6:00 PM.
