John Ray Mooney, 74, of Acworth, died Wednesday. February 15, 2012. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 18, 11 am at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with Pastor Kenny Gray officiating. Burial will be 3pm on Saturday at Sugar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Sugar Hill, GA with military honors.
Mr. Mooney was a native Georgian and had served our country in the US Army. During his career in the work force he was employed as a Pressman with American Color Graphics. He was preceded in death by his Parents – Claud and Lois Mooney, Brothers – Claud, Jr. and Steve Mooney, and a Sister Jeanette Queen.
Mr. Mooney is survived by his Children – Johnny Lane Mooney, David Samuel Mooney, Jackie Elizabeth Dodd and Patty Holland; 13 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren; Brothers – Ron, Robert, Butch and Jerry Mooney; Sisters – Faye Cochran, Brenda Smith, Shirley Densmore and Mary Densmore.
The Family will be receiving Friends at the Funeral on Friday between the hours of 6pm-9pm.
