Funeral services will be held Thursday October 27, 2016 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Kennesaw, Georgia with Rev. Greg Farist officiating. Family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm Wednesday at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Kennesaw, Georgia (770) 422-7299. Burial will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery Canton, Georgia at 1:30 pm.
Mrs. Swafford was a native of Cobb County, She loved her husband and grandchildren and great grandchild. She also loved fishing and camping. Mrs. Swafford was a Cobb County Bus driver for 23, years She was a member of Sunlight Baptist Church in Woodstock, Georgia.
Mrs. Swafford is preceded in death by her parents, James Ellis and Ruby C. Thomas; brothers, James Felton Thomas, Donald Jack Thomas, and David Nolan Thomas; and sisters, Patsy Long and Sandra Walker. Survivors include husband, Wallace Swafford; sons, Wendell and wife (Chris) Swafford, Waylon and wife(Jamie) Swafford; grandchildren, John Murphy, Haley Padgett, Dalton Dumester, Trevor Swafford and Nathen Swafford; and great grandchild, Wyatt Padgett.
