

Leonard "Len" Gene Levine was born in Trona, California, on July 1, 1944. He moved to Dallas, Texas and graduated from Kimball High School in 1963. Len earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Arlington and joined IBM in 1967. He worked for IBM for 38 years, living in numerous locations including Tokyo, Japan. He retired in 2005 in Georgia and resided there for the remainder of his life. Len peacefully passed away September 22, 2021. Len lived a fulfilling life and was able to experience being a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He had a love for computers, traveling, playing tennis, and reading novels. As a follower of Jesus, he was always active in his church and had beautiful tenor singing voice, which he used in the choir and in many holiday productions. His family had a love for sports, and he coached several of his children's youth teams and was a soccer referee for many years. He was a part owner of the Dallas Sidekicks professional indoor soccer team, which won the league championship in 1987.
Len was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Juanita Levine. He leaves his legacy behind for his loving children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is survived by his sons Christopher (Terri) and Stephen (Stacy) Levine. He is also survived by his daughters, Robin Levine Miller, Vicki Levine Holloway, Elizabeth “Lisa” Levine (Travis) Poppel. Len has 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren that he loved and cherished.
A viewing will be held at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, Georgia on Monday, October 4, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to noon. A private graveside service will follow for close family and friends. As a survivor of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society would be appreciated and can be made in lieu of flowers.https://www.lls.org/#
