Linda Bates, age 77 passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. Linda was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She loved to dance, garden, most of all she enjoyed spending time with family. Linda will be loved and missed by all that knew her.
Linda is survived by her daughter Tina Pierce (Harry); son James Timothy Swanson; her sisters Era Mae Hefner, Wanda Norton (Bobby) and Sherry Paul; her granddaughter Selena Weaver (Jamie), her grandson Dylan Pierce (Stacie), granddaughter Lauren Porter, great granddaughter Presley Weaver; great grandsons London Weaver, Mason Weaver, Waylon Weaver, Jettson Pierce, and step sisters, Debbie Dunn (Kenny), Connie Clayton (Chuck), Patricia Perkins (Ron).
Linda was preceded in death by her father Willie Thackston, her mother Ellie Mae Barrett Kendrick, her brother, Billy Thackston, and step mother, Joyce Thackston.
A visitation for Linda will be Monday April 8, 2024 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 11 am until 1pm.. Funeral service will follow the visitation at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Georgia Memorial Park. Marietta, Georgia.
