She was born on February 25, 1974, in Chicago, Illinois, to Patricia Edmonson and John Jones. Lolita was the oldest of four children. Growing up on the South Side of Chicago, she attended Park Manor Elementary and Paul Robeson High School, making lifelong memories along the way. At an early age, Lolita accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined Evening Star M.B. Church, where her faith became the foundation of her life.
Throughout her life, Lolita moved to several different states, always seeking new opportunities and experiences, before finally relocating to Marietta, Georgia, where she made her home until God called her home.
Lolita was a woman full of life, laughter, and love. She was the proud owner of Spick & Span Cleaning Service, where she poured her hard work and dedication into serving others. But her greatest joy was her family. She loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren—whether getting her hair and nails done, enjoying a meal out together, talking for hours on the phone with her son, or simply being present with those she loved most.
Ree Ree had a one-of-a-kind spirit. She was passionate, funny, and had the gift of making people feel special. She loved to sew, crochet, and shop whenever she could. She had a generous heart that knew no limits—always willing to give, even if it meant giving her very last. Her love was deep and unconditional, and everyone who knew her felt it.
Lolita leaves to cherish her memory her three beautiful children: Shirquita Nevels, Kenya Martin, and Jessica Johnson; her four adored grandchildren: Yaniyah Johnson Presnall, Nylyn Johnson Presnall, Nyleeyah Johnson, and Zakai Jefferson; her loving siblings: Bernice Edmonson (Mark), Latrece Edmonson, and Mitchell Edmonson (Latasha). She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and countless friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
She is preceded in death by her loving mother, Patricia Ann Edmondson and grandmother, Ms. Lois Muldrew.
Lolita “Ree Ree” Muldrew was a shining light in the lives of many. Though her time here feels far too short, the love she shared and the memories she created will live on for generations to come.

For Our Mother
From your two daughters and your only son
You gave us life, you gave us love,
A gift sent down from God above.
Through every storm, through every mile,
You taught us strength, you taught us to smile.
Your hands held ours when we were small,
Your voice still guides us through it all.
Though we must face this world apart,
Your spirit lives within each heart.
We’ll carry your laughter, your gentle embrace,
And picture your smile in every place.
Until we meet on Heaven’s shore,
We’ll love you, Mom—forevermore.
⸻
For Our Grandma
From Yaniyah, Nylyn, Nyleeyah, and Zakai
Grandma, you filled our days with light,
Your hugs made everything feel right.
From Yaniyah, who’ll always recall your care,
To Nylyn, who loved the laughter we’d share.
Sweet Nyleeyah, your baby girl,
Will hold your love like a precious pearl.
And little Zakai, your baby boy,
Will grow up knowing you brought us joy.
You taught us kindness, you taught us grace,
We’ll always see your smile in every place.
Though we miss you more than words can say,
We’ll love you forever, every single day.
