Born on January 3, 1971, Louis lived a life devoted to his family, his faith, and serving others. He was the kind of man who made people feel welcome the moment they met him. His sense of humor could light up any room, and his kindness left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Above all else, Louis was a devoted husband and father. He deeply loved his wife, Rebekah, and cherished every moment spent with his children, Landry, Eva, and Hudson. His family was the center of his world, and he led them with strength, gentleness, wisdom, and humor.
Louis will be remembered as an amazing man — funny, compassionate, generous, and endlessly selfless. He lived his faith daily through the way he cared for others and offered encouragement, love, and support to those around him.
Even in passing, Louis continued giving to others through organ donation, ultimately saving five lives. This final act of generosity reflected the very heart of who he was: a man who always put others before himself.
Though his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched, the family he loved so fiercely, and his faith in Jesus Christ.
Louis is survived by his loving wife, Rebekah Woessner; his children, Landry, Eva, and Hudson; his Birthfather Lee Gilbert, his brothers, Bill and Matt Gilbert, and his uncle John Soldenwagner, along with many extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever treasure his memory.
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." - Romans 8:28."
