Luke was born on October 1st, 1970 on Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane County, WA. He attended Catholic schools in Minnesota and middle school in St. Charles, IL. He attended Inglemoor High School in Washington, where he played trumpet in the band and was a member of the swim team.
Luke attended the University of Washington where he performed in the Husky Marching Band, served as a Resident Advisor, majored in psychology, and met the love of his life, Debra. After their marriage in 1994, they lived in Washington as he started his career in customer service at Verizon Wireless. His two children were born in Monroe, WA, and as his career advanced, the family adventures moved them from Bellevue, WA, to Albuquerque, NM, to Killingworth, CT, and then to Kennesaw, GA. After earning his Masters in Business Administration, he returned to Connecticut to oversee call centers in the North East for a utility company.
Luke was a family man, putting his family above all else. His favorite pastimes were playing video games with his son, Nicholas, talking about all things Disney with his daughter, Caitlyn, and taking long morning drives with his wife, Debra, and his two dogs, Abu and Jessie. He was a handy-man, always fixing things up and creating things to be used around the house. He believed in looking on the bright side of life and seeing the positive. He showed it by sharing his joy with others and by making people laugh with his unique sense of humor. A recent favorite family tradition of his over the past five years was spending Christmas at Hilton Head, SC.
At the time of his death he worked as a Director of Customer Care at Avangrid in Connecticut, but his true home was in Kennesaw, GA. He didn’t let much keep him down. While he was sick, he continued his job to provide for his family. He worked up until the week before his passing and was able to move back to Kennesaw, GA during that time to be home with his family.
He touched so many during his lifetime and will be missed dearly. He is now resting in peace with his mother, Audrey Von Feldt.
