Marina Mayorga

Ms. Marina Mayorga, age 85, of Acworth, GA., passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. Ms. Mayorga was born on September 22, 1932 in Managua, Nicaragua, a daughter to the late Jose Escobar and Laura Romero Escobar.

Marina traveled to the United States with her husband and children at a very early age. Once moving to the United States, Marina began working and providing for her family. She was always known as an extremely hard worker, persevering through any circumstance. Marina was married to her loving husband for sixty-eight wonderful years, he preceded her in passing in 2016. Marina was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; she will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A long with her parents and husband, Caesar Mayorga, Marina is preceded in death by one daughter, Sonia Bendana.

She is survived by eight children, Chester (Elsa) Mayorga, Alex Mayorga, Maria T. (Emilio) Manzo, Luz Mayorga, Caroline Mayorga, Jose Mayorga, Caesar (Debbie) Mayorga, and Ileana Mayorga; twenty-two grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

A funeral service to honor the life of Ms. Marina Mayorga will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Friday, April 27, 2018 in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Pine Ridge Memorial Park.

The family of Ms. Mayorga will be receiving friends from six o’clock in the afternoon until eight on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the funeral home.
