Mary Allen Duvall, age 94, of Marietta, GA went to be with her Lord on Friday, Feb. 25, 2022. Mary was born on July 29, 1927, to the late Howard and Viola Most of Columbia, SC. At an early age, Mary accepted Jesus as her Savior and she had a desire to serve Him with her life. She graduated from Columbia Bible College with a degree in Biblical Education in 1948. While there, Mary met and married a young preacher, Clifton Duvall, and she devoted herself to faithfully serving the Lord alongside her husband. For the next 60 years, she was a pastor’s wife in six different churches where she was a leader in the Children's Ministry as well as various other church ministries.
In addition to her church work, Mary chose to be a homemaker and was a very loving mother and grandmother to their two daughters and four granddaughters. Mary enjoyed flower gardening and could make anything grow beautifully. She also loved doing many kinds of hand crafts and she was an excellent seamstress. Mary was known and loved for her kindness, her gentle spirit, her servant’s heart and her constant smile.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Clifton Duvall. She is survived by her two daughters, Joy (Chuck) Goodman and Carol (Joe) Ringwalt and her four granddaughters, Rachel (Brian) Davis, Rebecca Goodman, Melissa Ringwalt, and Meredith (Keith Michael) Anderson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the foreign missions offerings through your local church.
