Michael Daniel Farmer was born October 16, 1945 in Gadsden, AL, the son of Guy Franklin Farmer and Opal Jessie McFry Farmer. Mr. Farmer, age 79 passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Tranquility Hospice Care of Kennesaw Mountain in Marietta, GA. Mr. Farmer will be laid to rest at a family cemetery in Piedmont, AL on August 23, 2025. Family members will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Friday, August 22, 2025 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, GA.
Survivors include one daughter, Amy Farmer Penne (Bryan) of Tuscola, IL; one brother, Andrew Farmer (Molly) of Columbus, GA; one nephew, Guy Frank Farmer III of Valdosta, GA; two nieces, Shirley Farmer Closson (Eldridge) of Hahira, GA, and Dana Farmer Ward (Bob) of Commerce, GA; and two grandsons, William Penne of Chicago, IL and Andrew Penne of Champaign, IL.
Mr. Farmer was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Guy F. Farmer Jr (Dale). Mike loved his daily sausage and egg croissant with mustard from Burger King, sipping on his "fresh" Diet Coke, rocking "Johnny B. Goode" on his well-loved guitar, and most of all playing Triominoes with his lifelong best friends, Woody and Marie Long of Kennesaw, GA.
