Mikell was a member of Burnt Hickory Baptist Church for over 30 years, where he grew his quiet faith and a deep and personal relationship with God.
His combined faith and love of music led him to compose many Christian songs, some of which he was able to perform for the church. He shared the word when he could, and stood by it through all seasons of life.
He is survived by his children: Brandon Bowers (David Teel), Shane Ginn (Austin), and Jack Bowers (Lexie); his parents, Edward and Janeece Bowers; his brothers, Scott Bowers (Jennifer) and Brad Bowers (Alison); and his cherished grandchildren, Elise Bowers and Samuel Ginn. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him deeply.
A Graveside service will be held in Mikell’s honor on Thursday. March 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Pine Ridge Memorial Park with Senator Roger Hines officiating.
Mikell will be remembered as a man of steadfast faith, perseverance, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he helped create.
