Mildred Gertude Perdew, age 83, passed away March 26, 2019. Mildred was born on November 11, 1935 in Mile Branch, West Virginia to the late Frank and Bertha Bowles. Mildred led a very fulfilling life. After meeting her high school sweetheart, Charles Perdew, they spent 66 wonderful years together. Early in their marriage the couple decided to move to Michigan where they were both employed by Ford Motor Company. Mildred and Charles enjoyed 20 years of retirement in the Sunshine State of Florida before moving to Georgia in 2005. Mildred cared for and loved spending time with her family. She loved to take care of everyone, offering a helping hand to everyone in need. She was very health conscious and loved exercising to stay healthy and fit. She also enjoyed sewing and arts and crafts. Mildred was the second oldest of six children and was the last survivor of her siblings. She was the matriarch of her family and a two time cancer survivor.
Mildred is proceeded in death by (brothers) Thomas Bowles and Rex Bowles; (sisters) Wilma Estep, Linda Gibson and Jean Rodriquez.
Mildrew Perdew is survived by (husband) Charles Perdew; (son) Brian (Carol) Perdew; daughter Deborah (Terry) Mallow, (grandchildren) Gregory (Kelli) Olson, Laura (David) Sanders, Benjamin Olson, Jessica (Kenton) Munn, Daniel (Kaitlin) Perdew and eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society and to the American lung Association.
Visitation for Mildred Gertude Perdew will be held Monday April 1, 2019 at 10:00am at Woodstock Christian Church.
Celebration of Life will be held Monday April 1, 2019 at 11:00am at Woodstock Christian Church with meal to follow.
