Murray Darrell Midgette, Sr., age 67, a resident of Cobb County for 40 years, died on February 17, 2014. Born in Manteo, North Carolina, Darrell graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Campbell University in 1968 and had an accomplished career in the pharmaceutical industry for over thirty years. He married Cathy Scarborough, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina in 1969, and had two children: Meredith Midgette Lovelace and Murray Darrell Midgette, Jr. Darrell was a faithful husband, loving father, hard worker, and good friend. He lived and loved with purpose, and he will be greatly missed. Darrell was preceded in death by his father Ryan Harold Midgette, mother Parthenia Midgette, and wife Cathy Midgette. He is survived by his two children, and two grandsons, Charles Ryan Lovelace and Patrick Craig Turner.
