Nancy Marie Thompson, age 66, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022. Nancy was born on September 29, 1955, in Rome, Georgia. Nancy had many talents in life. She enjoyed painting and drawing and played the piano beautifully. Nancy was an avid reader and enjoyed spending her free time with a good book. She was the principal of First Baptist Christian School in Kennesaw for 15 years and helped organize the elementary school. She was an amazing daughter, mother, and friend. She will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure to know her.
Nancy is survived by her son Sgt Joshua Thompson (Ally) of Okinawa, her mother Reba King of Kennesaw, and her sister Linda Ayers (Jim) of Norcross.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father Billy King.

A visitation for Nancy will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A memorial service will occur after the visitation. A burial will occur Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Cheatham Hill, 1861 Dallas Highway SW, Marietta, GA 30064.
