Norma Jean Moss

Norma was born on August 20, 1941, in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, where she grew up before moving to Marietta, Georgia, with her family. There she met and married the love of her life, Charles Harold Moss. She treasured her 66 wonderful years as Harold’s girlfriend, wife, and best friend.

Norma Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Harmon and Margaret Lawson; her siblings, Don Lawson (Linda), Patsy Johnson, and Jerry Lawson (Sheila).

She is survived by her devoted husband, Harold; her loving sister, Janet Wilson (George); her cherished sons, Todd Moss (Laura) and Darren Moss (Sarah); her much-loved grandchildren, Ryan Moss (Kristi) and their children, Emilia and Jack, and Katie Moss (Nicholas Mendoza); along with a large extended family of beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Chapel Mausoleum on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 12:00 PM. Visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 AM with interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta – Egleston Hospital.
